Having dedicated 25 years to the NHS, my passion lies in aiding others to delve into their physical and emotional well-being.
As an advanced nurse practitioner with a focus on neurodiversity and women's health issues like PMDD and menopause, I grew disheartened with our patient offerings and the lack of holistic practice, which led me to counselling.
Neurodivergent counselling is a personal passion. I faced significant challenges as a teenager and young adult, frequently changing jobs and relationships, and experiencing the turmoil of friendships, romance, and unsustainable work, all while battling addictions.
Therapy helped me navigate these issues, but it wasn't until my 40s that I realised I am autistic with ADHD traits, which clarified many past struggles.
Now, I am committed to being alongside others in their self-discovery and finding their path. I advocate a strengths-based approach, recognising the positives of neurodivergence and providing room for mourning and addressing the hardships and losses.
The wisdom, innovation, kindness, and empathy I see in neurodivergent individuals continually inspire me. Meditation and self-compassion practices keep me grounded for my clients and myself.
My leisure activities, like reading, roller-skating, dancing in the kitchen with my 9-year-old, and sea-swimming with my collie, fill me with joy and bring serenity to my life..
